On May 13, 2025, numerous experts, NGOs, institutions, local authorities, civil society representatives, and committed individuals gathered at the United Nations in Geneva to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Humankind Rights (DDHu). It was a powerful moment of dialogue, commitment, and mobilization for a more ethical and sustainable future. This significant event, organized by the Friends of the Declaration Association and the UNF, provided an opportunity to review the past ten years, discuss major issues addressed by the Declaration, share concrete initiatives inspired by it, and outline ambitious prospects for action in the coming years. A large number of people closely followed the event: over 400 attendees participated in person, and more than 4,000 watched the live broadcast on the UNFTV channel. Throughout the day, the conference was marked by outstanding contributions from inspiring individuals and actors from civil society, institutions, politics, and business, all committed to promoting the values and principles of the Declaration.

Opening

The conference began with a solemn opening sequence. Christophe Giovannetti, Secretary General of the Friends of the Declaration Association and President of the Union Nations Federation (UNF), opened the conference with a welcome speech and words of thanks to all those who contributed to the event. Corinne Lepage, President of the DDHu and the initiator of the Declaration, then delivered a powerful and visionary speech highlighting the growing importance of this text.

The day was hosted by Guila Clara Kessous, UNESCO Peace Ambassador, who gracefully fulfilled her role as master of ceremonies.

First Round Table

Leaders and the DDHu: What Do They Think?
Moderator: Corinne Lepage

This first round table brought together an exceptional panel of political leaders around a key question: How do leaders and local authorities perceive the Universal Declaration of Humankind Rights and integrate its principles into their actions?

PRESS RELEASE
Paris – April 23, 2025
UNF President Christophe Giovannetti Honored to Represent the Union Nations Federation at UNESCO for World Art Day 2025

The Union Nations Federation (UNF), under the leadership of its President Christophe Giovannetti, proudly took part in the 3rd edition of the World Art Day International Forum, held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.

Organized by Dr. Guila Clara Kessous, UNESCO Artist for Peace and a renowned voice in cultural diplomacy, the forum brought together a diverse gathering of artists, diplomats, academics, and humanitarians to celebrate art as a transformative force for peace, dignity, and social cohesion.

President Giovannetti, speaking on behalf of the UNF, emphasized the organization’s deep belief in the unifying power of culture and the arts. “Art is not only a language—it is a bridge. It creates understanding across nations, fosters inclusion, and uplifts the most vulnerable voices. The UNF is proud to support such initiatives that mirror our mission to build a more just and compassionate world,” he stated.

The event featured powerful performances and panels, including themes such as Art and Healing, Human Rights and Social Health, and Peace Education. One of the most touching moments came from a collaborative performance involving cancer patients and WHO representatives, illustrating how art can become a space of resilience and recovery. Artists like Natasha St-Pier and Anna Torres moved the audience with heartfelt performances that reflected the role of artistic expression in navigating human challenges.

The UNF’s presence at UNESCO further reinforced its engagement in causes aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the fields of health, education, cultural access, and peacebuilding. Through the “No Mercy for Malaria” campaign and other global initiatives, the UNF continues to promote meaningful change in communities across continents—using both diplomacy and creativity to address today’s most pressing humanitarian issues.

World Art Day 2025 served as a reminder that in times of uncertainty, art remains a source of truth and resistance. It is not merely a tool for beauty or comfort, but a vital agent of transformation. As Dr. Kessous powerfully declared, “Art is not a luxury—it is a necessity.”

Press Release – 04/10/25

Guila Clara Kessous, Vice President of the UNF and UNESCO Artist for Peace, is organizing the International Forum for World Art Day, which will take place on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.

Paris, April 10, 2025 – Christophe Giovannetti, President of the UNF, warmly invites all those who share these values to join this exceptional event.

A Global Event, a Contemporary Emergency

Entitled “Art and Human Dignity: Human Rights and Therapeutic Arts for a Culture of Peace”, the forum will bring together leading voices from the artistic, scientific, humanitarian, and political worlds to address a central question:

How can the arts help heal societies and build a more peaceful, just, and humane future?

In a world marked by conflict, division, and existential crises, this event aims to restore art to the heart of our social fabric. No longer a luxury, art will be affirmed as a vital necessity. Painting, music, dance, theater, poetry, digital arts — all artistic languages will be brought together to highlight their power of transformation, resilience, and reconciliation.

“Art is a right. It is the living expression of our shared humanity. It is also care, dialogue, and refuge. The time has come to recognize it as such on a global scale.”
— Dr Guila Clara Kessous

A Platform for Voices from Around the World

Through speeches, testimonies, and artistic performances, the forum will spotlight those who use art as a tool for engagement: committed artists, humanitarian doctors, educators, thinkers, and activists.

PRESS RELEASE

Paris, March 25, 2025 – The UNF is proud to see its Vice President, Guila Clara Kessous, UNESCO Ambassador and artist, receive an exceptional award for her commitment to defending women’s rights across all continents. The UNF, which has been very active in Morocco since its creation, fully aligns itself with the values of the Bouabate-Fez Association.

Christophe Giovannetti, President of the UNF, highlighted the outstanding work carried out by the members and Ambassadors of the UNF at a time when humanity’s rights must be particularly safeguarded. This event, initiated by the Bouabate-Fez Association to celebrate its 15th anniversary, coinciding with International Women’s Rights Day, was an opportunity to highlight the commitment and contributions of women to Moroccan society while paying tribute to those who have worked to promote the country’s cultural heritage.

In a statement to MAP, Leila Bennis, President of the Bouabate-Fez Association, emphasized the significant evolution of women’s status in Moroccan society. Under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, she stated, “women have managed to break the glass ceiling and now hold positions of responsibility in various sectors.”

“In 2008, identifying women who had achieved remarkable accomplishments was still a challenge. Today, Moroccan women play a central role in the country’s development,” she added.

For her part, Guila Clara Kessous, UNESCO Ambassador for Peace and artist, who was among the honored women, highlighted the profound symbolism of this tribute, calling it “a powerful message.”

“It is a great honor for me to be in Fez for this ceremony, to celebrate women and female leadership,” she said, stressing the symbolic importance of this recognition, particularly as Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, is working on the new Moudawana, marking a crucial step in recognizing women’s rights.

This moment carries a special significance as it takes place in Fez, home to the world’s oldest university founded by a woman, Fatima Al-Fihriya, and “embodying both history, culture, and the pioneering role of women in society.”
During this edition of the “Fez Gate” Awards, several outstanding figures were honored, including:

  • Naima Benyahia, Minister of Solidarity, Social Inclusion, and Family, who received the Institutional Trophy;

  • Meryem Chami, CEO of AXA Assurance, recognized for her contributions to the economy and business sector;

  • Benjelloun Khadija, President of a division at the Supreme Council of the Judiciary, awarded the Magistracy Trophy;

  • Souad Mekkaoui, co-founder of Maroc Diplomatique, honored in the Media category;

  • Laure d’Astorg, CEO of the Alliance for Forest Conservation, recipient of the Environment Trophy;

  • Naziha Belkeziz, Présidente Directrice Générale of Banque Centrale Populaire, who was awarded the Woman of the Year Trophy for her role in the financial sector.

Finally, a special jury prize was awarded to Nabil El Maaroufi, an expert in digital accessibility and computer engineering. The event, which brought together personalities from the cultural, institutional, and economic sectors, provided a platform to discuss the challenges and progress in women’s rights in Morocco while shining a light on exceptional career paths.

Guila Clara Kessous was presented with the Trophy by His Excellency Abdelouahab BELLOUKI, diplomat and former director of the OPCW, and Mrs. Leila DOUKKALI, President of the Association of Women Business Leaders of Morocco (AFEM), bringing together the diplomatic and business worlds to honor all that art has to offer to society.

PRESS RELEASE
– Paris, March 5, 2025 –

UNESCO hosted the fifth edition of the Femina Vox International Forum, an  event created and directed by Guila Clara Kessous, UNESCO Artist for Peace  and Ambassador for Peace of the Universal Circle of Ambassadors of Peace  (Geneva), Vice President of the UNF, and Ambassador of the Declaration of the  Rights of Humanity. Free and open to all, this forum once again achieved  resounding success, bringing together an engaged audience to amplify women’s  voices worldwide.

Christophe Giovannetti, President of the UNF and Secretary-General of the  Declaration of the Rights of Humanity, would like to thank our Vice Presidents  Manal El Abssy and Ronald Jappont, our Secretary-General Carole Berté, as well as  the numerous UNF Ambassadors who traveled from various countries to  participate in this essential forum to assess the actions needed to achieve gender  equality. Special thanks to Guila Clara Kessous for enabling the UNF to be one of  the partners of this event.

Going Beyond the Beijing Declaration

Introduced by a powerful performance of Chinese artist Qian Qu, the first  roundtable brought together Wang Yanping, Wang Xiangxian, and Yvonne Yung  Hun, who shared insights on progress and persistent challenges regarding  women’s rights. Yvonne Yung Hun, actress and former beauty queen, delivered a  powerful message to all women: “Learn to love yourself, believe in yourself, listen to  your emotions, and believe in your dreams to be free to choose your own path.”

The speakers emphasized that while the Beijing Declaration, adopted 30 years  ago, laid the foundation for the fight for gender equality, it must now be surpassed  to accelerate societal transformation and secure a legitimate place for women in  both economic and political spheres.

This discussion was followed by a powerful performance by Les Mamans du Congo,  whose music conveyed a strong message about the role of African women in  society.

Women: Key Players in Global Diplomacy

Chantal Chambu Mwavita, Minister of Human Rights of the Democratic Republic  of Congo, delivered a poignant testimony on her commitment and the urgency of  making women’s voices heard in diplomatic and governmental institutions:

“Every day, we must fight to ensure that women’s rights are not just promises but  tangible realities. We should not compete with men but rather perfect humanity  together.”

She also called on the international community for urgent assistance in response  to the ongoing war affecting her country.

The session concluded with a moving performance by Hura Mirshekari, an Iranian  activist singer, whose voice resonated with the audience, expressing the struggle  of women for their fundamental rights.

Women’s Entrepreneurship: A Catalyst for Social and Human Transformation

Entrepreneurship was also at the heart of discussions, not only as an economic  driver but also as a tool for resilience and empowerment for women living in war,  fundamentalist, or repressive contexts.

The roundtable featured Amida Haman (Afghanistan), Shayda Hessami (France/ Iran), Bushra Alzoubi (Syria), and Najat Vallaud-Belkacem (France), who shared  their experiences as pioneers of change on the ground.

Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, former French minister and President of France Terre  d’Asile, strongly emphasized: “Femina Vox gives a voice to women activists  worldwide, who demand one simple thing that I summarize as follows: women  should be at the table instead of being on the menu!”

Bushra Alzoubi seized the opportunity to address the international community:  “It is time to stop seeing Syrian women as victims. We are fighters.”

The Asian Women’s Choir then moved the audience with a musical performance  celebrating the diversity and strength of women around the world.

Engaging Men for Real Equality

Gender equality cannot be achieved without transforming male mindsets. Three  committed men spoke about the importance of male allies in this fight:  Mathieu Narendra, Malagasy activist for women’s rights

Siyabulela Jentile, founder of the South African movement Not in My Name  International

Marcos Vinicius Torres Pereira, professor of civil and international private law in  Brazil

Siyabulela Jentile stressed that this fight is not solely a women’s issue:

“Defending women’s rights should not be seen as a women’s struggle but as a  human struggle.”

Guila Clara Kessous concluded this session by reminding: “All women must have  access to the same rights as men, not as women, but as human beings. This fight  can only be won together, with men and women united.”

Growing Success and International Recognition

This 5th edition of the Femina Vox International Forum once again celebrated the  progress made toward gender equality while stressing the urgency of continuing  the fight.

President Emmanuel Macron praised the initiative, stating:

“Femina Vox is an essential platform for expressing women’s rights.”

Through powerful testimonies, expert insights, and artistic performances from  around the world (China, Congo, Iran, Bangladesh), the event demonstrated that  collective action is the key to change.

The key message of this edition?

“The future will not wait for us, and neither will we.”

A slogan repeated multiple times, highlighting the urgency of amplifying women’s  voices and relaying these discussions in international media.

Paris, February 26, 2025 – Christophe Giovannetti, President of the UNF, invites all individuals committed to women’s rights to participate in the 5th edition of the Femina Vox International Forum, which will take place on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at UNESCO Headquarters, Room I, 7 Place de Fontenoy, 75007 Paris.

This major event brings together actors from all backgrounds to debate, share,
and build a fairer and more equitable future for women worldwide.

A Global Platform for Women’s Voices

The Femina Vox International Forum provides a unique platform for women from all sectors of society to share their struggles, successes, and aspirations. While gender equality remains an ongoing challenge, this event will feature over twenty speakers who will share their experiences and propose concrete solutions to advance women’s rights.

A Continued Commitment to Equality

Since the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action in 1995, significant progress has been made, particularly in the field of education. However, many challenges remain. Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of UNESCO, emphasizes:

“Since Beijing, considerable progress has been made in education. This momentum must continue, as gender equality in education remains a goal yet to be fully achieved.”

Similarly, Dr. Guila Clara Kessous, UNESCO Artist for Peace and Peace Ambassador of the Universal Circle of Ambassadors of Peace (Geneva), reminds us:

“Women must have access to the same rights as men—not as women, but as human beings. The recognition of these rights will only be achieved together, with men and women united in building the society of tomorrow.”

For millions worldwide, achieving health and wellness remains a challenge. Numerous barriers exist within healthcare systems, including limited accessibility and high costs. However, Dr. Kareem Ali has witnessed firsthand how people’s well-being can be transformed through lifestyle changes that directly impact their health.

As a physician, entrepreneur, scientist, author, and speaker, Dr. Ali is at the forefront of a new movement in health and personal development. What began as simple advice shared online with friends quickly grew into a platform that now reaches millions. Through Fekr Tany, Dr. Ali is committed to making medical knowledge and self-improvement accessible to Arabic-speaking communities and beyond.

A Leading Physician Sharing His Expertise

Dr. Ali has built his expertise in health and wellness through extensive studies and multiple degrees. He graduated from Al-Azhar University in 2001 and later obtained a PhD in clinical toxicology in 2013. Additionally, he holds a master’s degree in family medicine from the University of Oradea, Romania.
As a physician, Dr. Ali advocates for a holistic approach to health, emphasizing mindset, emotions, and self-discipline. His advice quickly gained traction, inspiring him to expand his outreach and create Fekr Tany.

Since its inception, Fekr Tany has become one of the most influential Arabic- language platforms for health and self-improvement, with a strong presence across multiple social media channels. Committed to Humanitarian Causes

Dr. Ali leverages his vast audience to support major humanitarian initiatives, including the No Mercy For Malaria program. The objectives of No Mercy For Malaria are clear and achievable: to reduce the mortality rate, particularly among children who cannot remain
onstantly under the protection of mosquito nets while moving through African villages at dusk.

In partnership with SHID, a company specializing in the distribution of innovative products, the program facilitates the distribution of Aeriashield Forever devices. Aeriashield Forever operates without pesticides or chemicals. Worn around the neck, it provides complete individual protection against airborne coronaviruses. Additionally, it offers effective protection against mosquitoes, both indoors and outdoors. The technology has been rigorously tested and validated in laboratories.

“We are proud of the dedication shown by our ambassadors, including Kareem Ali, in promoting well-being for all—regardless of race, financial status, or religion. True health should benefit everyone.”

Through his advocacy and expertise, Dr. Kareem Ali continues to make a profound impact, both in the field of health and in the fight against
alaria in Africa.

Press Release – 02/10/25

At the initiative of Charles-Éric Hoffmann, owner of the Pavillon Henri IV, an iconic venue where King Louis XIV was born, Christiane Collin-Pacanowski organized a dinner to present the book by Yvelines Deputy Karl OLIVE, titled On n’est pas K.O..

The K.O. method is based on a unique approach combining ragmatism and humanity. Saying things as they are, making them known, and
aking action: these are the keys to effective and humane governance. For Karl Olive, public action must place humans at the heart of decisions, demonstrating that resilience and collaboration can transform our society, even in times of adversity.

Faced with major challenges affecting all citizens—housing, insecurity, bureaucratic complexity—this book outlines a clear and pragmatic
oadmap to reconnect France with its people. Each idea has been tested in the field, proving that it is possible to act immediately to restore confidence and hope. On n’est pas K.O. is thus an invitation to rise again and move forward together towards a stronger and more united France.

A sportsman, man of action, and deeply rooted in Yvelines, Karl Olive was the Mayor of Poissy from 2014 to 2022, where he still resides. A Deputy of Yvelines since 2022, he is committed to a more coherent, peaceful, secure, and ambitious France. He is also the president of Génération Terrain, an association bringing together 200 modern, pragmatic, and humanist mayors.

The Union Nations Federation (UNF) is pleased to have participated in this constructive exchange on the different visions of a society undergoing transformation, facing significant national and nternational challenges. Carole Berté, Secretary-General of the UNF, particularly highlighted the essential and humanist role of mayors, these local elected officials who, in every democracy, are the primary interlocutors of citizens and their concerns.
