On World Mosquito Day, August 20, the Union Nations Federation (UNF) reaffirmed its commitment to protecting human lives by launching its new global health initiative: “No Mercy For Malaria.”
World Mosquito Day highlights the urgent threat mosquitoes pose to global health. As mosquito-borne diseases continue to spread, it is essential to strengthen awareness and collective action to protect vulnerable populations, particularly in Africa where malaria remains a leading cause of illness and death.
A Global Health Emergency
Every year, hundreds of thousands of people die from malaria, with the vast majority of cases occurring in sub-Saharan Africa. Children and displaced populations are especially at risk. The human, social, and economic cost of this disease continues to undermine communities and development.
“Mosquito-borne diseases are a silent war against humanity. We cannot remain passive — we must act now with determination and innovation,” said Christophe Giovannetti, President of the UNF and Secretary-General of the Universal Declaration of Humankind Rights – DDHu.
The “No Mercy For Malaria” Program
Through this initiative, the UNF is committed to:
- Supporting prevention and education programs to reduce infection rates in African communities.
- Empowering local organizations to lead grassroots campaigns.
- Distributing Aeriashield anti-mosquito products to vulnerable populations, providing accessible and effective protection.
By combining public awareness, local engagement, and innovative tools, No Mercy For Malaria aims to drastically reduce the burden of malaria and save lives across the continent.
UNF’s Mission: Protecting Humanity
The Union Nations Federation has always placed human dignity and protection at the core of its mission. With No Mercy For Malaria, the organization underscores that peace and human security are inseparable — fighting disease is also fighting for peace, justice, and the future of humanity.
